AccessHealth Announces Leadership Transition
Richmond, TX (June 30, 2025) –– AccessHealth, a leading provider of primary healthcare services in Fort Bend and Waller counties, has announced a leadership transition. Chief Executive Officer Mike Dotson will be stepping down after eight years of dedicated service to the organization.
“This has not been an easy decision,” said Dotson. “But I believe the time is right—both for personal opportunities and for AccessHealth to continue growing under new leadership. It has been the greatest privilege of my career to serve this organization and work alongside such a dedicated and compassionate team.”
To ensure continuity and stability during this transition, the AccessHealth Board of Directors has appointed Palak Jalan, the organization’s current Chief Operating Officer, as Interim CEO. Jalan brings a wealth of experience in healthcare operations, a deep understanding of AccessHealth’s mission, and a proven track record of operational leadership.
“We are deeply grateful to Mike for his years of dedicated leadership and unwavering commitment to our mission,” said David Timmermeyer, Board Chair of AccessHealth. “As we look to the future, we are confident in Palak’s ability to guide the organization through this transition with stability, compassion, and strategic vision.”
Jalan expressed appreciation for the opportunity to step into this new role. “I am honored to continue the amazing work our AccessHealth team has accomplished over the past 50 years. I look forward to building on the strong foundation in place and furthering our mission.”
