AccessHealth’s Alexandra Charlton Honored with 2025 Mental Health Service Award by NAMI Greater Houston

September 24, 2025 – AccessHealth is proud to announce that Alexandra Charlton, Senior Director of Operations, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Mental Health Service Award by NAMI Greater Houston. This prestigious recognition, sponsored by Sugar Land Porsche and My Mynd, My Mental honors leaders who have shown extraordinary commitment to advancing mental health awareness, support, and recovery within the community.

Last week, Charlton was recognized during “Healing with Style: Bold & Beautiful,” an exclusive celebration hosted at Porsche Sugar Land. More than an awards ceremony, this event highlights the transformative impact of mental health leadership, advocacy, and innovation.

“Alexandra exemplifies what it means to lead with compassion and vision,” said AccessHealth Interim Chief Executive Officer, Palak Jalan. “Her dedication to expanding mental health services has allowed AccessHealth to reach more individuals and families in need, ensuring that quality behavioral health care is accessible for everyone.”

Under Charlton’s leadership, AccessHealth has expanded its integrated behavioral health programs, making mental health support a cornerstone of the organization’s comprehensive care model. From pioneering community-based initiatives to advocating for stronger mental health resources, Charlton has championed solutions that meet people where they are, delivering not only clinical care but also understanding and hope.

The Mental Health Service Award recognizes individuals who consistently go above and beyond in service to their community. For Charlton, that service has meant developing innovative programs, advocating for access at all levels, and ensuring that mental health care is treated as an essential part of overall health and well-being.

“This award is not just about me, it reflects the incredible work of our entire AccessHealth team,” Charlton shared. “Every day, we commit to making sure that mental health care is within reach for everyone. I’m honored to be recognized by NAMI Greater Houston, and I share this award with my colleagues who inspire me daily.”

NAMI Greater Houston and its partners believe in breaking down stigma and building a future where every individual can thrive with access to mental health resources. By honoring leaders like Charlton, the organization highlights the importance of keeping mental health at the forefront of community care.
