AccessHealth Announces Palak Jalan as Chief Executive Officer
Richmond, Texas — AccessHealth is proud to announce that Palak Jalan, who has been serving as Interim Chief Executive Officer since July, has been officially appointed as our Chief Executive Officer.
“Palak has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and commitment to the communities we serve,” stated David Timmermeyer, Board President. “We are confident that under her leadership, AccessHealth will continue to thrive and expand its impact for years to come.”
Since joining AccessHealth in 2018, Jalan has exemplified unwavering dedication and visionary leadership. Through her dedication and hard work, she has led diverse teams and transformative initiatives in population health as well as COVID-19 response and operations. Her journey reflects not only her commitment to AccessHealth’s mission but also her proven ability to lead transformative initiatives that strengthen community health.
With over a decade of experience in healthcare strategy and operations, Jalan’s leadership spans care coordination, maternal and child health, digital transformation, and the integration of social determinants of health into clinical practice. She has been recognized by both the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC) and the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) for her leadership and contributions to advancing community health.
Jalan holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India and a Master of Public Health from the UTHealth School of Public Health. She is a member of the American Public Health Association, the Delta Omega Honorary Society, and serves on the boards of Apollo Chamber Players and Executive Search Corps. She is also an active member of WBL (Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation) and Chief.
